RFQ Quoting Help for Small Machine Shops

If RFQs pile up because the person who quotes is also running the shop, the Zenith Quoting Desk takes the pricing off that person's desk. You forward the RFQ prints, I price each one on your machines and rates, check every line, and send back a finished, itemized quote with your logo.

FORWARD YOUR RFQ PRINTS TO quotes@zenithquoting.com

Your first 10 prints are free while I learn your shop's rates.

Why RFQs pile up

In a small shop, quoting usually lands on the owner or the best machinist, the person who can least afford to stop. Each print means reading it, choosing the stock, counting setups, working out the run time and looking up material. So the RFQs wait for a quiet evening, and some of them wait too long.

Some RFQs never get quoted at all. Those are jobs your shop never had a shot at.

How the Desk helps

Forward the RFQ to quotes@zenithquoting.com the way you got it: the prints and the quantities your customer asked for. I price each print on your machines and rates, check every line, and send back a PDF quote with your logo. You look it over, change anything you want, and send it under your own name. I never contact your customer.

What makes a quote worth sending

  • It's priced on your rates, not a generic average
  • Every line is shown: material, setup, programming, run time and inspection
  • Anything I'm unsure of is flagged on the quote, not hidden
  • It carries your logo, and you make the final call

What I need from you

To start, a few prints you've already quoted, with the price you sent or your shop rates. I price them on your numbers and send them back side by side, so you see line by line where Zenith matches you and where it doesn't. After that, just the RFQs: a PDF of the print works best, and a scan or a clear phone photo works too.

Tell me which quotes you won and which you lost, and my numbers move toward yours.

What's covered

Covered: turned and mill-turn parts made from bar or tube.

Not covered: ITAR or export-controlled prints. Every print is checked for export markings first, and a marked print is held and never sent to an AI service. Work outside turned and mill-turn parts from bar or tube, like sheet metal or weldments, isn't part of the Desk. If a print falls outside the scope, I'll tell you instead of guessing at it.

What it costs

Your first 10 prints are free while I learn your shop's rates. After that, it's $399 a month for up to 40 prints, plus $10 per extra print. My first five shops lock in $199 a month for 12 months. Nothing costs money unless you agree to it in writing.

Every shop also gets its own login to the Zenith Tool at app.zenithquoting.com. It shows each value read from the print next to the price line it drives, and you can price a part yourself whenever you want to. Using it is optional; email alone works.

Questions shops ask

Straight answers from Malik Carey, who runs the Desk.

Can someone else quote my RFQs for me?

Yes. With the Zenith Quoting Desk, you forward your RFQ prints, I price each one on your machines and rates and check every line, and you get back an itemized quote with your logo to send under your own name.

What should I send with an RFQ?

Forward the RFQ the way you got it: the prints and the quantities your customer asked for. A PDF works best, but a scan or a clear phone photo of the print works too.

Do I still get the final say on price?

Yes. The quote comes back to you, not your customer. You look it over, change anything you want, and send it under your own name.
